The Victoria Dragon Boat Festival Society is a non-profit society dedicating to bringing communities together through the celebration of cultures and competition. Any donation amount is welcome and helps to ensure that our festival continues its 28 year tradition of contributing to Victoria’s cultural fabric.

Because of the support of donors, sponsors and partners like you, we are able to bring Victoria’s unique Chinese history and culture to life right in the heart of the Inner Harbour for three days of music, dance, food, crafts, and of course, dragon boat races.

Your donation matters!

For those interested in donating $100 or more, we like to show our appreciation to you in the following ways:

Donations over $100 – you will receive a coupon that entitles you to a Victoria Dragon Boat Festival T-shirt when you attend the festival.

Donations over $500 – you will receive a coupon that entitles you to a Victoria Dragon Boat Festival T-shirt when you attend the festival and be recognized as one of the “Festival Supporters”.

Donations over $1,000 – you will receive a coupon that entitles you to a Victoria Dragon Boat Festival T-shirt when you attend the festival and be celebrated on our website as a Victoria Dragon Boat Festival “Jade Dragon Hero”.

Festival Benefactors – Donations over $5,000 – You will be recognized as a major donor and celebrated on our website as a Victoria Dragon Boat Festival “Festival Benefactor”. You will be granted honorary membership of the society.

Festival Patrons – Donations over $10,000 – You will be recognized as major donor and celebrated on our website as a Victoria Dragon Boat Festival “Festival Patron”. You will be granted honorary membership of the society.

Endowments over $100,000 – There will be special recognition of your status and your endowment providing long term support for the goals of the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival. Special terms with donor will be mutually agreed. You will be granted life membership of the society.

Sustaining Benefactor – Make your mark and join our team as a Sustaining Benefactor for the Victoria Dragon Boat Festival Society. Sustaining benefactors provide financial or in-kind support of the Society over a longer-term commitment period. Whether you’re an individual or an organization, we’d love to explore how we can work together to bring our community together through the celebration of community and cultures.

Donations monthly are also gladly accepted, whether at $25/50/75 per month and are our Sustaining Dragons to allow us to operate throughout the year.

BC Cancer Foundation

The BC Cancer Foundation has been Victoria Dragon Boat Festival’s charity of choice for 28 years running. During the festival, we celebrate cancer survivors with a special ceremony that highlights their strength and resilience. While the festival donates directly to the BC Cancer Foundation, we also encourage individuals and businesses to donate directly to the BC Cancer Foundation themselves. Your support WILL make a difference in the lives of those living with cancer in BC.
