Become a Vendor

The Victoria Dragon Boat Festival is Vancouver Island’s premier dragon boat festival and Victoria’s largest cultural celebration each year. The festival has enjoyed tremendous success in bringing communities together for 28 years! For the 2022 festival, we expect to get back to our pre-pandemic levels of 40,000 festival attendees and 2,000 paddlers from across western Canada and United States.

Vendor Benefits

3 Day Festival* (in 2022):

  • Friday 2pm – 8pm
  • Saturday 9am – 8pm
  • Sunday 9am – 8pm

*Food vendors will need to be on site Thursday for setup; the festival will be open to the public starting Friday 2pm.

On site and social media promotion, including:

  • 15-second announcements – 15 to 20 words each
  • Advanced social media posts, with direct links to vendor websites/social media
  • Listing on the event website with links as well as festival brochure (if vendor applications are received, approved and paid before press time)

Pricing ( for 3 days)

  • Food Vendors: $550+GST
  • Retail Vendors: $550+GST
  • Power Hookup: $75+GST
Please Note:  Licensed vendor food trucks are permitted on site; however, support vehicles are not permitted on site due to the layout and confined space. Security will be on site throughout the weekend, but vendors are responsible to secure their property.

The Festival reserves the right to determine the location of the vendor space on site. Exhibitors are responsible for all permits, insurance, and licensing they may require. All vendors requiring electrical connection are responsible for ensuring their wiring meets electrical code requirements. An electrician will be on site, and any modifications will be the sole responsibility, and at the expense, of the vendor. The Festival reserves the right to accept or refuse any applications – All applications subject to approval..

Additional Vendor Information:

  • Licensed vendor food trucks are permitted on site
  • Support vehicles are not permitted on site due to layout and space limitations
  • Site security will be on site throughout the weekend, however vendors are responsible for securing their own property
  • Vendor site locations will be determined by The Festival staff
  • Vendors are responsible for all permits, insurance, and licensing they may require
  • Vendors are responsible to meeting electrical code requirements; there will be an electrician on site for support
  • All vendor applications are subject to approval; acceptance and refusal of applications will be based on the nature of the business and its relevance to The Festival

3. You will receive a followup email. If approved, you will receive a link for online credit card payment.
Payment must be made in full within 5 business days of application approval or the approved spot will be resold.
